Tip of the Day: Run-on sentences can add a tumbling feel to a story.

Most writers have heard that we should avoid run-on sentences at all costs, however, there are instances where a run-on sentence can add dramatic effect. Imagine a scene where your character is being tossed around under the waves, or they’re tumbling down a hill during an avalanche. Those run-on sentences can give that feeling of lost control, inability to breathe and not knowing which way is up.
